Halloween in January

There is something ridiculous about that 3rd tooth going, the top front tooth. It's such a gap. And it looks like the gap that is a 7 year old, no longer a truly little kid, but not big yet.

Mr. H and Chispa spent a good hour past bedtime, yanking and tugging at the thing. Inexplicably to the blood-phobic, yank-phobic mother, they really like this little ritual, of removing the wigglers. Ew ew ew. OK, guys, whatever works for you. Did I mention, ew?

As you can see, everyone is very pleased with the efforts. Of course the tooth fairy came "even though I know it's you Mommy", the tooth fairy still had to come. Since we like coins, the tooth fairy left a nickel, a dime, and a quarter.

I know a lot of tooth fairies seems to have had inflation from surveys I've heard $1-$5(!), but somehow it doesn't work for me as much as counting a few coins, one of each. Chispa seemed pleased and satisfied, and hasn't taken a survey of other tooth fairies, so I think we are good.

Edited to add: By the way, Mr. H successfully completed ninja duties to stick the note/money/envelope under her pillow. I've ninja'd the last two, and it makes me SO tense trying to sneak in there, she's such a light sleeper. I'm happy to report he was successful.

That is just so CUTE! Maybe not the surgery itself, but HELLO she looks like such a big kid, and so proud. You're a great tooth fairy!
