I decided to dismantle the crib since she eagerly took to her big girl bed with it's new beautiful quilt. Best to get the crib out before she could change her mind. Both kids ideally needed to "agree" to the change so as not to flip out, so I enlisted both their help when we were all raring to go one weekday at 7am. "I help you use tools, Mama" insisted Changa. First, one last jump was in order

So the crib goes into the attic, waiting for whichever family member calls it into service next. It's the end of an era, putting away one's crib.

In fact, our babies are not babies anymore. Changa is now weaned as of early February and is out of her crib. And is going to be three this summer. Chispa will hit kindergarten next year.
So we have graduated. Do we get a ceremony with a horn section?

You should get some kind of ceremony, at the very least... bye bye babies!
if only I had a horn, I would play it! I told Z about Changa's new bed a few days ago and 2 days later he started talking about wanting a big bed too. Hmmm, change is in the air perhaps. But we are still with you on the idle pee-ing (and poo-ing today) in our undies. Come on!
Thanks for the pics of your gorgeous girls BTW...it has been so long since I saw them that I got all weepy looking at all the photos! But then again, I think I have a little bit of Shaken mama's postpartum hormonal weepies..
