Yesterday I uber-overslept. I normally get up at 7:00am. 7:30am maximum. I woke up at 8:15am! Chispa should be in the car heading to school at 8:45am, so needless to say, this was phenomenally late. When Mr. H found them, whenever he got up, Chispa was keeping Changa company in her room. She had taken Changa's diaper and PJ's off. She'd put Changa's underwear on. She poured Changa a sippy full of milk and brought it to her in her crib. Apparently she was sitting and "reading" a book to Changa when Mr. H bailed them out. Mr. H fed them breakfast. By the time I got to them, we just needed to finish getting dressed, teeth brushed, sun-blocked etc.
How cute is that that Chispa poured Changa milk? She even put the valve in correctly!!! Good thing the GALLON of milk was half empty, it would have been quite the flood.
We gave Chispa 2 ladybug stickers for good behavior for taking care of Changa!
I clearly needed the sleep, after burning myself out last weekend with over-activity, and catching Changa's cold. So it all worked out. The only collateral damage is that Chispa ate a nectarine in Changa's room (food stays at our kitchen table), and some got on the carpet. Under the circumstance, I can't really complain.
Let's hear it for sisterly love!
